Role
Within a specialist Risk Project team and reporting to the overall Basel II Programme Manager, this role will lead developments within Credit Risk by managing the definition of business requirements, functional specifications, test plans, managing the development of the required system solutions and support the testing of these system solutions. This person will be primarly responsible for managing the Risk Reporting Database workstream in the Treasury Basel II programme. The objective of this workstream is the historisation of all key data for risk reporting, finance, regulatory capital reporting, economic capital reporting and generally for all Pillar 3 purposes.
Tasks
- Define business requirements with the Credit Department
- Analyse requirements with Business Analysts and produce specifications, delivery plans
- Monitor solution delivery and report progress to Overall Project Manager and Project Sponsor
- Identify, record and resolve project risks and issues
- Evaluate business requests for changes/enhancements and manage within guidelines of change control
Define the data model and the data architecture requirements to support the Basel regulatory reporting requirements
- Assist in defining technical solutions
- Assist users in test plan production and co-ordinate testing
- Manage resources allocated to the workstream
- Vendor management where vendor solution has been identified
- Work within a series of already defined parameters on budget and time.
Business Experience
- At least three years risk experience with practical experience of Credit Risk
- Proven understanding of risk and regulatory reporting requirements in a Bank
- Good understanding of historical and multi-purpose database requirements
- Hands on experience of full scale systems implementation (package or in-house)
- Hands on experience of managing multiple projects at different points of their project lifecycle
- Generalist product knowledge across Debt, Money Markets, FX and Derivatives
- Proven understanding of risk processes and techniques
- Proven experience in a Treasury environment
Technical skills
- Proven analysis skills are essential
- A technical background is preferred
- Data architecture and modelling
